و ده عايش فى أى مجرة كونيه لوحده؟!

Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, thats her...

Ladybird

A ladybird stood on my car window today while going to work and it took me back 25 years to my school yard when we used to have our ladybird stories as a gift for those who get high marks by the end of the year.. I always wondered about this insect and wished to see it as i spent years contemplating the little red thing with spots on its back on the cover of my childhood books. It was a childhood dream that came true in my late 30's and it felt so good :) Dreams never die, we may live them someday.

Old Days

Remembering the good old days of school, this poem along with the Solitary Reaper are my favorite..yet this one is a must in these days..Do you know that this poem was a written will for Ahmed Hassenein Pasha and it was his inspiration all his life?!Enjoy for those who appreciate classics.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

New Book

The thrill of looking for a new book and buying it and skimming it till u finally sit on your sofa to read it with your coffee is a priceless feeling for me.

And today I went to Diwan in a frequent visit where i ran into Bahaa Taher walking in so calmly and saluting everyone even the poor me standing in the cooking section! it was such a pleasure watching this iconic figure so simply asking a young author to come sit with him and hearing his latest and listening to both of them quoting from great verses or sayings.

Today was a lucky day for me to watch how great people should be that simple..this is where their greatness lie :)

Today I bought: بحار الحب عند الصوفية for my favorite author: Ahmed Bahgat.

Old Fashioned ????

I know I am old fashioned but this song always gave me a push to go on since I was young..when playing it on my car cd, people around me look at me as: eih elmagnouna di ? :D

Some Politics Talk

For sure these people who went down and left their homes and never knew if they were going back to their kids had a reason..for sure they want as much peace as you do..

For sure they want to live happily but with dignity too..

For sure we all are affected by the economical crisis we are in and we all want to live..may be we - facebook people- we all have homes and jobs, we all have some one whom we can ask for money, we all admit our kids to schools and can get them their favorite kind of chocolates..

But there are others who just can't , may be we just need to feel them, feel those who have no clean water to drink nor a proper place to live in, those who has to work 7 days a week and have no rest to get their every day necessities, those who have no work at all..we can not be elite this time.

My dear friends electing shafik, For God's sake..let your conscience judge..if we wel Al7madullah never lived it, it doesn't mean that there aren't others suffering day and night with it,, it can not be because we fear the rules of ele5wan, that we submit our brothers as a scarfice so we may live happily ever after..

Just think about those who will be detained, killed or put in jail after shafik wins..my words are not organized but they are coming from my heart and i am not going to re-phrase it..this is how i feel..mesh 3alshan a3ish merta7a w baly rai2, army elnas elgalaba ely malhmosh dahr fi eidn elnizam tany...Plz think it through..

1st Post..

I am perfectly content with a good book and a hot cup of coffee :)
